OK, I have decided on the final route that my family and I will be taking.
It goes like this:-
Monday 17/08/09 - Day 1 - Lands End to Ilfracombe - 128 miles
Tuesday 18/08/09 - Day 2 - Ilfracombe to Lechlade - 147 miles
Wednesday 19/08/09 - Day 3 - Lechlade to Ashbourne - 116 miles
Thursday 20/08/09 - Day 4 - Ashbourne to Kendal - 138 miles
Friday 21/08/09 - Day 5 - Kendal to Bryness - 130 miles
Saturday 22/08/09 - Day 6 - Bryness to Aberfoyle - 118 miles
Sunday 23/08/09 - Day 7 - Aberfoyle to Fort Augustus - 123 miles
Monday 24/08/09 - Day 8 - Fort Augustus to Helmsdale - 102 miles
Tuesday 25/08/09 - Day 9 - Helmsdale to John O' Groats - 52 miles
TOTAL MILEAGE = 1054 miles
The reason for the fairly low daily mileage is that I will have a 12 year old, a 2 year old and my wife travelling with me, and none of them travel too well :)
